We launched our partnership with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources earlier this summer at Patoka Lake’s Welcome Back Weekend, and now we’re excited to continue our partnership at the Hoosier Outdoor Experience, the state’s largest, hands-on outdoor recreation event.
Come learn how to shoot a rifle, go on a mock archaeological dig, find a geocache (and do practically anything else that can done outside!), and then stop by our tents and chat with our demonstrators. Viki Graber, a basket weaver from Goshen, Larry Haycraft, a net maker from Petersburg, and Roy Spight, a drummer and drum builder from Indianapolis, will be joining us on both days of the event. We also welcome Amy Brier, Terence Lankford, and Cindy Brubaker, artists from the Indiana Limestone Symposium. Visit our Facebook page next week to learn more about each artist.
Held on the grounds of Fort Harrison State Park in Lawrence on the northeast side of Indianapolis on September 15 and 16, the Hoosier Outdoor Experience features more than 50 activities and 100 vendors and partners.
This event, including parking, is entirely free of charge, but registration is recommended so that organizers can better prepare to meet the needs of attendees. From the DNR: “All information collected will only be used for evaluating this event and won’t be sold or released to third parties. After registering, you may be contacted to participate in a quick study about the event.”
Hope you can join us!
